Bridges
An alternative to implants, dental bridges are used when a tooth is missing. They consist of prosthetic teeth, supported and strengthened by attachments to crowns on either side of a gap.
Cleanings & Exams
Regular cleanings are an essential part of preventive, and overall, oral health, since diseases that begin in your mouth can spread to your body and lead to significant systemic issues. We provide thorough yet gentle cleanings, which include checking for cavities and clearing plaque and tartar to prevent future decay.
Crowns
Crowns are used to fix, strengthen, or save partially damaged, worn, or broken teeth; improve shape; and enhance color. Crowns are usually made of porcelain, metal, or ceramics, and serve as a protective structure around your tooth. At your visit, we’ll discuss what type of crown you’d like and explain the benefits of each. The dental crown procedure is simple and can be completed in a few steps, including reshaping your tooth for crown placement, taking a tooth impression with a mess-free iTero® Intraoral Scanner, and placing your crown with dental adhesive once it’s been created.
Fillings
Fillings replace decay and help prevent further damage to teeth. They can be made of porcelain or composite resins. Before treatment, we’ll discuss all your options in detail, including durability, appearance, and expense across types.
Periodontal treatment
If you notice pain when chewing or notice bleeding while brushing or flossing, you may have gum disease (periodontitis). Healthy gums do not bleed! This is a chronic dental condition that requires immediate intervention. Left untreated, gum disease can lead to the loss of teeth and bone and increases a persons risk of various systemic conditions. At its earliest stages, gum disease can often be treated with removal of tartar and plaque alongside healthy oral hygiene habits at-home. For more advanced cases, we provide scaling and root planing, often referred to as a “deep clean.” During this procedure, tartar and bacteria are removed from pockets beneath the gumline.
Implants
Dental implants permanently replace teeth that can’t be restored. They generally involve three parts: the implant or "root," the abutment (connects root to crown), and the crown or "tooth." Implants offer the look and feel of natural teeth.
Nitrous oxide sedation
Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is an inhalable form of sedation that places you in a calm, tranquil state, helping ease fear or anxiety. It can also help address gag reflexes, teeth sensitivity, low pain thresholds, difficulty sitting still, or the effects of extensive treatments.
Oral sedation
Oral sedation is an excellent solution for patients facing dental anxiety. If this is an option for you, please note it requires planning ahead of time following an exam. You’ll take a prescribed medication an hour before your procedure to ensure that you arrive relaxed and remain that way for the entirety of the treatment. It is mandatory to have a designated person take you to and from your appointment for your safety and wellbeing.
Pediatric dentistry
For patients of all ages, effective dental care is largely a matter of prevention and early detection. In addition to daily brushing and flossing, keeping your child’s smile healthy also requires regular checkups to prevent the progression of dental disease. We’ll also provide care tips and monitor the progress of the development of primary teeth to ensure they lay the right path for your child’s permanent teeth.
Sealants
Dental sealants can help reduce your chances of contracting tooth decay by providing an extra layer of protection against cavities. The procedure involves applying a thin plastic coating to your teeth to help prevent bacteria from penetrating your teeth and causing cavities.
Supplemental procedures for implants
When an implant cannot be immediately installed due to loss of bone mass, you may need bone grafting or a sinus lift. Bone grafting involves surgically grafting a small piece of bone onto your jaw bone. If you’re missing teeth on the upper jaw, you may benefit from a sinus lift, which involves filling the sinus cavity with bone graft particles to encourage growth. Once enough hard tissue has grown from either procedure, we’ll install the implant and fill the gaps in your teeth.
Teeth whitening
It’s common for certain foods and beverages—such as coffee, tea, and berries—to stain teeth. Teeth can also become dull or discolored over time, which is a natural part of growing older. To restore your smile, we offer a variety of whitening options, from in-office treatments to professional-grade take-home trays.
Veneers
A veneer is a thin shell of custom-fitted porcelain that’s attached directly to the front surface of your tooth. Durable and scratch resistant, veneers can help cover or restore gaps, crooked teeth, chips, and discoloration. They’re customized to to fit the shape and color of your teeth.
Extractions
Extraction, the surgical removal of a tooth, is a procedure that should only be performed when necessary to protect your health. When there isn’t enough space in the jawbone, wisdom teeth may become impacted or cause other teeth to shift, putting pressure on other teeth and the soft tissue of the mouth. Impacted wisdom teeth might get blocked by other teeth, become stuck in the jawbone, or fail to grow through the gum tissue. This can lead to problems, such as pain and swelling, overcrowding, infection, gum disease, tooth decay, or difficulty cleaning around the impacted tooth. Surgical removal involves administering a local anesthetic, sedation if desired, a small incision in the gum tissue, tooth removal, and stitches to close the incision while it heals. Depending on the anesthesia and sedation used, you may need to arrange for a ride home following the procedure.
